My mission is to inspire seniors to experience all that is possible in this third act of life through yoga practices designed by a senior for seniors.
As a trauma-informed yoga teacher, I’m here to help share how to practice radical self-love, gratitude, and acceptance for our bodies as they are today, no matter the shape, size, or wellness. Acceptance, along with patience, will provide the foundation for mindful movement, meditation, and breathwork throughout the practice to help improve mobility, balance, mental wellness, and overall health.
Introduced to yoga in the 1970s, I was exposed to the New Age movement and first experienced the strength, peace, and serenity that the practice provides. After moving to Reno, I developed a regular yoga practice and became integrated within the local yoga community. Through the mentorship of my teacher, Katie Louvat, I was encouraged to participate in yoga teacher training to deepen my personal practice. I am a graduate of ‘Boundless’ a 200-hour yoga teacher training course with Amber Campion. My yoga education continues, and I have completed a Mat + Chair Yoga workshop and a Chair Yoga for Tech Workers workshop. Currently, I am enrolled in the Brain Longevity Therapy Training program conducted by the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation.
I believe that there is much we can overcome when we become reacquainted with the heart and learn to trust it.
